McHale is currently recruiting for a Qualified Maintenance Fitter. This is a permanent position, reporting to the Facilities Manager.


JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide effective technical support to Production in all aspects of machine and equipment maintenance, installation, and modification; perform detailed maintenance, PMs and troubleshooting.
  • Support continuous improvement by active participation in repairs, upgrades, preventative maintenance and system failure investigations and investigation reports, execution/development of change control, as appropriate.
  • Adherence to Safety, Health & Environmental policies and procedures and carry out all tasks in a safe and controlled manner.
  • Pro-active team working with peers, production, quality and support groups to improve equipment reliability and performance.
  • Respond to breakdowns, systematically fault find, and identify root cause and then implement solution to prevent recurrence.
  • Update the FLEX maintenance management system, record all changes, stores transactions made, and work carried out.
  • Support the creation and modification of documentation to support maintenance and calibration activities (PM, Data Sheets, Work Instructions, troubleshooting guides).
  • Carry out additional duties that may be assigned to you.

 

KEY SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • A qualified mechanical/fitter
  • Previous experience (minimum 2 years) in Plant/Manufacturing maintenance.
  • Previous experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment,
  • Excellent communication, planning, and organizational skills.
  • Dynamic team player and can work effectively and proactively on cross-functional teams.
  • High level of enthusiasm and motivation and the ability to take input from others.
  • Agricultural background is desirable but not essential.
