The McHale Fusion Vario is an integrated baler wrapper, which provides a number of benefits as the task of baling and wrapping can be carried out using one machine. There is also a labour saving, as one operator, one tractor and one machine can complete baling and wrapping duties.
It features two unique patents; a patented bale transfer system and a patented vertical wrapping ring. Controlled by an iTouch control console, the operator has the ability to make various size bales across different types of crops.
The Fusion Vario also has the ability to make bales of hay and straw from 0.6m to 1.68m (2′ – 5′ 6 “) but in haylage or silage, it produces bales from 1m to 1.45m (3′ 3 ” – 4′ 8 “) to allow for wrapping.

McHale recognise that there is constant pressure on businesses to reduce costs. As with all McHale machines the Fusion Vario Variable Chamber integrated baler wrapper has been designed with the demands of today’s farmers and contractors in mind.
“It gives me the flexibility to make different size bales at the touch of a button. I also wanted to streamline the whole baling process and have the option to run a one-man operation.”
“The control box is excellent and so easy to use. You can alter the bale size very easily and it always makes a good solid bale, regardless of bale size.”
“It is an excellent machine with a superb back-up support, which all adds up when trying to get through the workload.”
“We bought our McHale Fusion Vario because it gives us the flexibility to bale small and large bales at the touch of a button. We don’t have to go back to the yard to change machines when we switch from baling silage or haylage to baling hay or straw. It allows for a one-man operation to go out and get the job done”
“The netting unit is very good at keeping well packed bales together, especially if we are baling a lot of straw and the wrapper is always ready and waiting for the bale to be transferred from the baler.”
“It’s a compact, highly maneuverable, reliable machine that allows us the flexibility to make bales from 2′ 6″ up to 5′ 6″ depending on crop type.”
“We are very happy with the bale density and shape, my Fusions produce top quality haylage.”
“The McHale Fusion Vario is a very versatile baler, with it you can make different bale sizes depending on the crop type and the way you have the farm set up, For straw you can select to make a harder bale core on the control box and bigger 5 foot 6 inch bales means less handling for bedding.”
“McHale’s reputation for machine build and service was good and the secondhand values was excellent. McHale has a good market share and you don’t get there by putting out rubbish.”
“It’s surprisingly easy to maneuver and so fast, the way it turns out the bales. The bales are nice and tight, and with the inbuilt camera, I can see exactly what’s going on. I can’t get over how easy it is to use. Everything is done automatically, and when I turn it off, the work’s finished. No need to go back and do the wrapping. I’ve never seen anything so good and so efficient, it’s a massive time saving for us and for the clients.”
“It’s what our clients count on: reliability. We’ve got to be there when they need us and get through the work without breakdowns. When we talked to farmers and contractors at field days, the word we kept hearing with McHale was ‘reliable’.”
“At the end of the day, you drive out of the paddock and you’re done. No more late nights. I really love this machine. It just works,” Kellie said.” And when clients ring to book us, they know we’ve got other gear but they say, just bring the McHale.”
